The man with 1001 voices!

François Maranda is a narrator, actor, host, comedian, impersonator, master of ceremonies, author and singer. 

For 20 years, the actor has lent his off-camera voice to various commercials and animatics (Rogers, IGA, Honda, etc.) and TV shows as narrator, characterist or voice actor. He is notable for his rich range of voices. From January 2019, he provides narration and dubbing for the children's show Pug Friends broadcast on Ici Radio-Canada Télé. He is currently the in-house voice of the TVA network. 

For two years, the versatile actor collaborated on the show See you next week on Ici Radio-Canada Première as an imitator as well as on Paul Houde's show on 98.5 FM (Cogéco Média).

TV and theater

On TV, from February 2019 he hosted the show Death Suits Us So Wellon TVA airwaves. He hosted for two seasons Barter Tips on MaTV, the morning show 2 milks, one sugar (TQS). We could also see him in the series Ste-Madeleine PQ (TQS). He played leading roles in the shows Watatatow (SRC), Midnight in the evening (SRC), Pure wool(Télé-Québec) and This Now (Musimax). 

As an actor, he also played, among other things, in summer theater in For Men Only, in the musical Jerry's Funeral by Louis Saïa at the Corona theater, Montcalm before the Storm And Do not disturb. In 2015 and 2016, he joined the show Review and Correction of the Rideau Vert whose artistic direction is ensured by Denise Filiatrault.

 

Humor on stage and in cinema

In the fall of 2017, he launched the show Naive with his sidekick Jean-Marie Corbeil, the two forming the duo Corbeil and Maranda who toured for three years throughout Quebec, receiving excellent reviews.

September 2020: The comedy tandem presents its first sketch film entitled Delivered to your home without contact. They play alongside Michel Courtemanche, Anne Casabonne, Luc Senay and France Castel.

 

“Radio Guy”

 

On the radio, he was a comedian and morning host at Radio-Énergie from 1999 to 2003. From 2004 to 2011, he was a host, editor and producer at 96.9 CKOI. He was at the helm of the weekend morning show, produced the humorous capsules News from the future, was a collaborator for the show The Brains of Info and was part of the team of Quite a Return where he took advantage of his several voices and imitations.

From 2014 to 2017, he was morning man at CIME FM and more recently a columnist on the show Paul Houde's Weekends at 98.5 FM and now on BPM Sports.
